- Limiting the consumption of rice: Trying to reduce the amount of rice in your diet would greatly reduce the amount of arsenic you consume. If you are going to cook rice, rinse the rice well before you boil it. Studies have shown that washing rice before boiling it greatly reduces the amount of arsenic found in the rice.
- Avoid juices that are high in sugar: Many juices have been discovered to have arsenic inside of them due to the pesticides that were used on the fruits. Mainly, these juices are apple juice, grape juice, pear juice, and juice blends.
- Try to have a varied diet: Make sure to have a varied diet. Don't just go for rice-based food and products, instead go for pasta or oats.
- Check your water: Make sure your water is safe to drink. If you drink well water, it would be best to get your water tested. Testing water does not cost much and it is worth the money in the end.
